Cypress Fairbanks GraduationFairfield is a neighborhood located in Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (Cy-Fair ISD).  Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is the largest Recognized school district in Texas. The Education Resource Group (ERG), a data-driven company that provides accountability and performance management optimization for public schools, has for the third consecutive year rated Cypress-Fairbanks ISD in the top two among the 200 largest districts in Texas for academic and financial performance in its 2013-2014 Best Practice Awards.

In the 2015 Houston Chronicle "School Report Card" section, which grades each school in the greater Houston area, all Fairfield schools received high marks. "To help parents choose which school is right for their kids, the nonprofit Children at Risk just released its 2015 rankings, based on student test scores."

Fairfield's School Rankings in the section were:

  • Ault Elementary A-
  • Keith Elementary  A+
  • Swenke Elementary A+
  • Salyards Middle School A

Students benefit from a wide array of challenging academic and extra curricular activities and from a low overall student/teacher ratio.   Fairfield has three elementary schools and a middle school right inside the community. A series of greenbelts allow kids to walk or ride their bikes to school. Currently, schools include either Ault Elementary, Keith Elementary, Swenke Elementary, Salyards Middle School and Cy-Ranch High School. Ault is known state-wide for its outstanding performance. Keith is located adjacent to the Fairfield Athletic Club and boasts a state-of-the-art-design. Swenke Elementary opened in August 2009 and has earned high rankings since opening.
