Cy-Fair ISD recently placed third overall in the Houston Zoo's "Action for Apes" cell phone collecting challenge. During the month of April, CFISD collected a total of 123 cell phones, earning the district third place. After sweeping Katy Tompkins in the Region III-6A area playoff, the Cypress Ranch High School baseball team advanced to the regional quarterfinal against Fort Bend Ridge Point. Cy-Fair ISD recently honoredover 85 teachers, paraeducators and support staff members during CFISD's 32nd annual Spotlight Awards Ceremony, which was held at the Berry Center on May 8. CFISD "Spotlight Teachers" are chosen each year by campus prinicpals. Cy-Fair ISD recently hosted its annual CFISD Student Technology Festival known as #NEXT and drew a crowd of nearly 4,000. In its eighth year, the Student Technology Festival serves as a place for students to showcase their technology projects for CFISD students, pre-K through 12th grade.
