The Cypress Walmart Supercenter at 26270 Hwy. 290, Cypress, celebrated a grand reopening after a new Pickup Tower completed the remodel. Since Harvey, Trinity Vineyard Church on Spring Cypress Road in Cypress has been dedicating about one-third of its space to housing volunteers from out of town who come to Houston to help people restore their flooded homes. VillaSport Athletic Club and Spa will be closed until mid-December to recover from flood damage following Hurricane Harvey, officials said. The facility, located at 12951 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress, opened in late July with 190,000 square feet of workout equipment, group fitness classes, children’s activities and spa services. Dues will be suspended until the re-opening.

The anticipation has been building, but there's a date! The opening of the first Houston area location of Lululemon Athletica has been rescheduled to Sept. 20 at the Houston Premium Outlets, 29300 Hempstead Road, Ste. 813, Cypress. The 3,802-square-foot store will offer yoga, running, training and other athletic apparel.
Isaiah Wakeham, a 16-year-old Cy-Fair resident, is raising money for Hurricane Harvey relief by selling T-shirts with his custom design of the state of Texas. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to Bayou City Fellowship‘s Harvey Relief Fund to help local victims recover. Lennar, one of the nation's largest homebuilders, today pledged at least $1 million to the United Way of Greater Houston Flood Relief Fund to help victims of Hurricane Harvey.
The Lennar Foundation will make an immediate $1 million donation to the fund and also will match contributions dollar-for-dollar made by its 9,000 associates nationwide.
