Armed Forces Appreciation Day

The Western Railway Museum invites visitors to join in a salute to service honoring the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the Nation’s Armed Forces. As a special gesture, the Museum offers free admission to all Veterans and members of the Armed Forces for the day.

Visitors can enjoy a scenic train ride through Solano countryside and are encouraged to bring a packed lunch or stop by the depot café for a picnic in the park’s spacious and shady grounds. Additionally, visitors can have fun in the inflatable Nerf Combat Zone by bringing their own Nerf Guns or other toys. The event also includes a special exhibit by the American Armory Museum, as well as military-themed arts and crafts for the entire family to enjoy in the Visitor Center.
